Once Griswold could beg, I would use a treat to get him to lift his arms and named this command "reach for the sky" It took him a while to get the "bang, you're dead" part, but it was basically all just moving the treat to have him play dead, then replacing it with "bang, you're dead" immediately after the "reach for the sky" Griswold's pretty quick with tricks. His new one is taking off my socks. Adorable! A great trick book is "The Only Dog Tricks Book You'll Ever Need" by Gerilyn Bielakiewicz (only $7.95). I used that book to teach most of the tricks he knows. Written really well, and easy to follow. Have fun!
