What breed of pet(s) do you have?: German Shorthaired Pointer, Black Lab/Golden Retriever Mix... I am the Dog Grandma, because both of these dogs belonged to our kids, and when they moved, they couldn't keep them. Now they belong to the Dog Grandma (and Grandpa). It's ironic, because my own dogs in the past have always been little, fluffy furballs, and now we have these 2 big oafs. :-)

Anyway, Lucy was my constant companion for over 12 years, and it almost broke my heart when we had to have her put to sleep 4 years ago. I am crying now as I type. I still miss her, and I knew everyone here would understand.

We discovered that we can't play the "walk" video in our house anymore, either. They go nuts!

How have you adjusted to big dogs when you were accustomed to fluffy small dogs previously?
